This novel never was published, however it allowed Angie to hone her craft, landed her the first literary agent, and got her far enough along on the path to being published to fuel her desire to keep on going and give her the hopes that one day she may actually achieve her goals. Ten months later, she finished her first book, which was a romantic suspense novel. She pushed through writer’s block and made it a priority to get the words down, even after being exhausted from working her day job and caring for her cranky toddler and the very last thing she wanted to do was do any writing. She wasn’t just going to write when she felt like it she wrote every single day. So Angie drastically shifted her own mindset and adopted a much disciplined approach to writing. She wanted to throw all the determination and effort she could muster behind her dream of writing stories that others may want to read, stories which would hopefully make people laugh, smile, and swoon, and possibly even bring them some joy. Angie didn’t want to reflect on this time in her life later and wonder what would’ve happened had she tried writing. She wanted to actually be a writer, and not just dabble in it anymore.
